Entering the Sydney property market as first-home buyers felt pretty daunting, but we feel incredibly lucky to have had Katherine Lefevre and Deborah Cooke from Strategic Finance Team guiding us through the process. From our very first conversation, the 'information overload' vanished because they both have such a gift for explaining the complexities of the first home buyers scheme in a way that actually made sense. We were specifically looking in the inner west, which we knew would be competitive. Katherine’s local network proved to be our greatest asset; she managed to source a fantastic property for us off-market, sparing us from the stress and uncertainty of the usual public auction cycle. A perfect example of this was when we reached the contract signing stage at Christmas—Deborah was actually on the other side of the world on holiday at the time.
