First and foremost… wow I had the privilege of seeing Alice’s previous success through the many friends who had also used her services, but it did not take long for me to know that I would be given the same level of care and expertise. From the first phone call, it became very apparent that Alice is an extremely knowledgeable and professional buyers advocate. I knew I would be in great hands. Alice’s first order of business was to show 5 properties that matched different aspects of my brief, which would in turn allow us to further narrow down what my true priorities were. Alice perfected the balance of sharing her knowledge of the quality of property I should aspire to have, while also keeping in mind the brief I had provided (as well as the opinions of my parents). She was patient while I battled between which was more important – the size or the location. From the initial phone call, it took Alice 7 weeks to find my dream property – an off-market property that ticked so many of my boxes. Turns out, there was really not much compromising required!! It would have literally been impossible for me to purchase the property I have, with Alice’s connections and quick thinking she was able to ensure the property stayed off market. Meaning we were able to make the purchase without the stress of a public auction. Furthermore, she took charge in organising every aspect imperative to a successful purchase, such as the building inspection, solicitors, as well as chasing up the bank. As a young-ish first home buyer, Alice was so approachable and easy to contact. She never made me feel like my questions were silly, and I always felt like she was on my side. And almost equally as important… my parents loved her too!!

Alice provided invaluable support throughout the process of searching for our first home right through to settlement. At all times Alice was professional in dealing with every aspect of the process and responding to our needs. Her knowledge and expertise helped us identify the type and quality of property we were after, where these properties could be found and set up numerous private inspections for us. Alice always acted in our best interest, with integrity and honesty. This saved us a lot of stress and was essential in navigating the complex process of buying a property in Melbourne. I would highly recommend Alice and Ironbark Property advocates.

I couldn’t recommend Alice and Ironbark highly enough. She is a true expert who has such an authentic and pragmatic approach to her work, exceptional relationships with agents all over the city, works with such clarity of what the purchaser wants, is a clear and consistent communicator, and the cherry is her research packs are so beautiful and thorough you will WEEP. The first time we walked into an inspection and Alice said to *me* “I don’t think this is the one for you” was such an eyeopener and showed me that she was really on my team, and that we will do this for as long as it takes. Something I really appreciated was that Alice really helped me get clear on what I was looking for, what I'd be open to compromising on vs what I wouldn't. She was right there with me while I figured it out and was nothing but supportive while also remaining realistic about what was possible with my budget. She ended up finding me an apartment in my dream location and dream block, with all my “must haves” ticked off which I ended up purchasing off market (again because of her incredible relationships). This was after we had been to auction for a different apartment in the same block but were outbid (I say ‘we’ because Alice was bidding on my behalf while I nervously paced in the background). The sale itself was such an easy process thanks to Alice setting me up with conveyancers & building inspectors. For first-timers curious about timelines (which obv can be different for everyone): for me it was 4 months from onboarding to signing the contract of sale. I will keep recommending Alice & Ironbark to anyone buying a home for as long as she does this work!
