After engaging a buyers agent to perform research and selecting an area not in their state, I was recommended Jess Ellam as a local buyers agent for the Adelaide area. Being an interstate buyer, one places a great deal of trust in the buyers agent to tap into their local knowledge, advocate for my interests, and find a great property. Dealing with Jess was a pleasure from the outset. Starting with some fact finding to understand my budget, needs, risks, and goals we had a telephone call to explore this through in more detail. The original research area identified by the first buyers agent was challenged by Jess, suggesting for my budget there are better value locations to get more bang for your buck. This is the local knowledge in action which helped greatly. Based off her guidance I researched some areas and provided some areas I'd be comfortable, exploring these choices with her. Jess presented some properties to consider and I provided my preferences with Jess undertaking an inspection, providing a video walkthrough so it felt like I'm right there and could experience the property in full. Being a long distance away this really helped. Jess wasn't pushy in the properties offered for consideration but I decided to move on this property. Jess's strong connection with the sales real estate agents came to the fore, gathering valuable information during this negotiation process which greatly helped in submitting an offer which luckily was accepted. Her guidance and advice through this process was fantastic, backed by the property proposal she had prepared along with the inspection, to understand details about the property, market, and area. The sales process in each state is a little different and Jess helped me along the way, understanding the nuances and putting my mind at ease. Once the offer was accepted through to settlement, Jess helped keep an eye on things, liaised with the broker, conveyancer, building & pest and ensured the process was smooth and I was comfortable with the reports etc. Thank you so much for your professional and client focussed approach. I didn't expect things to move so quickly but you made the process easy to understand and navigate, as well as securing a gem of a property.
