I recently purchased a house in Glebe, after engaging the services of Nick from Buyers Domain. As an Australian who had just returned from living overseas for 13 years, I was out of touch with Sydney suburbs and pricing. When I started my research I realized that there are aspects of the home purchase process which I genuinely enjoy, but also some that created anxiety. My expectations of a buyers agent: • Leverage relationships with agents to find properties I would not find myself • Share insights on pros/cons of suburbs and price trends • Provide benchmarking information to moderate/fine-tune my expectations for price & house features • Someone to bounce around ideas for realistic home improvement ideas/cost expectations • Handle price negotiations Nick absolutely provided all those services to a high standard. However there are many aspects where Nick far exceeded my expectations. • Deep understanding of my wishes/needs - the first batch of houses curated by Nick were excellent. They satisfied many aspects of my wishlist • Nick helped me realise I have a blindspot - sometimes I get too focused on design small details, and neglect to see the big picture. This steered me away from another property I would have purchased. • Excellent relationships with agents in his area – the property I ultimately purchased was not listed yet, I was first to see it. • Once we identified the right house Nick was instrumental in making sure I was successful. He made sure we stayed ahead of other potential buyers, he arranged building inspections next day, pro-actively managed communication with my conveyancer, provided research on DA History on the house. But most critical was the strategy of what price and when to formally make our offer. It worked. • Nick was proactive through all stages of this process - made sure I have a conveyancer ready, guiding me when to have finances ready, walking through building inspection reports. He was there on settlement day, guiding me through the final inspection and final funds transfer. Nick proved to be a friendly, trustworthy and effective partner who significantly reduced my anxiety throughout the whole process. I ended up in a better house, faster than I expected. I thoroughly recommend his services to anyone interested in Sydney Inner West property.

We had a great experience working with Nick on the purchase of an apartment, and his energy and commitment were invaluable. In the face of a very wide-ranging and somewhat fluid price guide, Nick’s research helped us to decide on an appropriate range for our bid and we were successful in quickly securing the apartment at a very fair price. We then encountered some real challenges in terms of exchanging contracts and in settling. Nick was there for us the whole way. He kept in constant contact with the vendor’s agent to ensure that the transaction kept progressing and offered a great deal of practical help. We would very much recommend his services.
