Prior to approaching Mark and his team, my goal was to utilise an REBAA certified buyers advocate, to use their knowledge of the real estate industry to my advantage in finding the perfect property given my preferences and constraints, and pitting an expert at negotiation back at the selling agent.It was important to me that I use an agent with actual certifications - not some fresh spruiker in it for quick bucks. I would implore anyone researching buyers advocates, to just take a look at Mark's list of accreditations, his board memberships and career history. Some buyers agents may be members of REBAA for example, but are they the state representative? After comparing to some others while performing my due diligence, I felt that the choice was pretty clear.I definitely got what I paid for. Mark always made himself available and went out of his way to provide succinct and at times also very detailed responses to my questions. Whether it was about build quality, area demographics, location, cost-effective options to improve the value of an inspected build, negotiation and overall strategy, Mark always provided the level of detail I was looking for.Mark is friendly, professional and sharp in his knowledge. Without his help I wouldn't have been able to execute the strategy necessary to purchase my new home. He knows all of the tricks of the trade, and how to counter them. We planned a strategy day one and stuck to it, while exploring all options - at times, options that were out of reach (at my insistence, to confirm they were out of reach), Mark was patient yet professional. Never pushy, always friendly and helpful - something that cannot be said about many others.I would recommend Master Advocates services to anyone that is seriously interested in a buyers agent. Mark from Master Advocates was a pleasure to work with. He is well organised, helpful and his communication was excellent — I never had to chase, and he always explained the rationale behind each step. His strategy and instincts were spot on during pre-auction negotiations which helped secure the property ahead of Auction. He was always responsive and moved negotiations along, while keeping expectations realistic and grounded for all parties. I felt well supported and genuinely well represented throughout the process. Mark was invaluable throughout the process of buying a home. His expertise was essential to know what to look for, when listings were horrendously underquoted and how to approach offers and bidding. Mark provided us with recommendations for various tradespeople which has helped us to make improvements to the place he secured for us.
